About Fuji Grill
Nestled in the heart of Brentwood, California, at 1185 2nd St ste i, Fuji Grill stands as a vibrant destination for those seeking the dynamic flavors and interactive experience of Japanese teppanyaki cuisine—now reimagined for the modern, on-the-go lifestyle. Unlike traditional teppanyaki restaurants where guests gather around a sizzling iron grill to watch chefs perform culinary artistry, Fuji Grill brings the essence of this beloved Japanese tradition into a convenient, takeout-friendly format. Here, the excitement of teppanyaki—the sizzle of premium meats, the aroma of fresh vegetables, and the rich umami of expertly seasoned dishes—is packaged for enjoyment wherever your day takes you, without sacrificing authenticity or quality.
Teppanyaki, which literally means “grilling on an iron plate,” is a culinary style that originated in Japan and has captivated diners worldwide with its combination of visual spectacle and flavorful results[7]. At Fuji Grill, this tradition is honored through a menu that highlights the best of Japanese grill cuisine, prepared with care and precision. The restaurant’s offerings begin with comforting classics like miso soup and crisp, fresh salads, setting the stage for a meal that balances lightness and depth. Appetizers provide a tempting prelude, while signature dishes such as yaki udon—stir-fried thick wheat noodles with vegetables and protein—and fried rice showcase the versatility of the teppanyaki grill. For those craving something heartier, the katsu selections, featuring breaded and fried cutlets, deliver satisfying crunch and tenderness.
The heart of Fuji Grill’s menu lies in its teppanyaki entrees, where guests can choose from an array of proteins including succulent steak, tender chicken, and fresh seafood, all grilled to order and infused with the savory notes of soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and other traditional Japanese seasonings[6]. Each dish is crafted to highlight the natural flavors of its ingredients, enhanced by the Maillard reaction that only a hot iron plate can achieve. This approach not only ensures delicious results but also pays homage to the teppanyaki tradition of simplicity and quality[7]. For families, Fuji Grill offers a dedicated kid’s menu, making it easy for parents to introduce younger diners to Japanese flavors in a familiar and accessible way.
What sets Fuji Grill apart is its commitment to making authentic Japanese teppanyaki accessible beyond the confines of a sit-down restaurant. In today’s fast-paced world, the ability to enjoy restaurant-quality Japanese grill cuisine as takeout is a significant advantage. Whether you’re picking up lunch during a busy workday, grabbing dinner for the family, or catering a small gathering, Fuji Grill’s efficient service and carefully packaged meals ensure that every bite is as fresh and flavorful as if it were served tableside. The restaurant’s location in Brentwood places it at the center of a diverse and growing community, offering a culinary option that stands out for both its quality and its cultural authenticity.
Fuji Grill’s approach also reflects broader trends in the restaurant industry, where consumers increasingly seek out unique, ethnic cuisines prepared with transparency and care. The teppanyaki style, with its emphasis on fresh ingredients and skilled preparation, aligns perfectly with these preferences. By focusing on to-go service, Fuji Grill addresses the needs of customers who value both convenience and culinary adventure, providing a practical solution for enjoying Japanese grill cuisine without the time commitment of a traditional teppanyaki dinner show.
The restaurant’s phone number, +1 925-954-7508, serves as a direct line for orders, questions, and feedback, underscoring Fuji Grill’s commitment to customer service and community engagement. In a region known for its culinary diversity, Fuji Grill carves out a distinctive niche by combining the excitement of teppanyaki with the practicality of modern takeout. Whether you’re a longtime fan of Japanese cuisine or a curious newcomer, Fuji Grill invites you to experience the rich flavors, vibrant textures, and cultural heritage of teppanyaki—all from the comfort of your home, office, or wherever your appetite takes you.

Typical tasteless Brentwood fare. A waste of time and money. Garlic edamame was a little soft and very bland. Not fresh. The microwaveable edamame from Safeway is considerably better. The filling in the smallish harumake [veg spring rolls] was tasteless mush. Chicken fried rice was plentiful with a reasonable amount of chicken. Lacks some of the ingredients [peas, carrots] that good fried rice has. Again, largely tasteless. I believe this is a chain restaurant. I hope they are not all this bad. $30 for 2 appetizers and an order of fried rice is not exactly cheap. Given that the quality of the food ranks below Taco Bell or Mickey D, I would say it is overpriced.

I don’t normally make reviews but i’m sitting here eating my leftovers from a day ago thinking good lord this is amazing. BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK. Genuinely amazing for the price!! The garlic rice is actually good and not some stale nasty peas and carrot rice from a bag. Chicken was amazing and steak was delicious 1020949483992%%%% get the habachi if you come here. 10/10 food and actually affordable.

I had high hopes for this place, since it showed 5 stars. It was without any doubt the worst Japanese food I ever had the sadness of earing. First, they say they have Teppanyaki. I enjoy real teppanyaki, where the chef cooks in front of the diners with funny tricks. I had teppanyaki chicken with garlic fried rice. It was cooked in the back kitchen in secret. Thr server brought it out served in a plastic clamshell containing the driest toughest chicken I ever tried. (See photo of plastic fork bent tines) speaking of bent fork, cheapest plastic cutlery on the market. Tempura was okay, but sparse. Water was served in a clear plastic disposable cup. Thos place is a future no go for me.

Today my wife and I somehow really wanted to get some teppenyaki for lunch. We opened google map and found this one in Brentwood and we decided to pay a visit from Concord, which is approximately 30 mins of drive. It turns out that we have discovered another hidden gem. We ordered steak and shrimp teppenyaki and fried calamari. They are so well cooked and the amount is so big. We’ll definitely revisit.

Another great find in Brentwood. The food was good my husband turtle enjoyed that it was not over seasoned or greasy. It was clean and simple for him. I enjoyed the fried rice and veggie more than anything I can order just that next time. The pricing was reasonable to good food it was about $12-$15 depending on the combination.
